Four people were killed in a head-on crash on I-77 in York County, South Carolina on Sunday.
involving a car that was driving in the wrong direction on I-77 overnight Sunday, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Officials responded to the accident around 12:30 a.m.
Two vehicles were found to be involved in the crash resulting in the death of four people.
Investigation shows that a four-door sedan with three occupants was traveling northbound and was hit head-on by another vehicle that was traveling in the wrong direction and going southbound in the northbound lanes.
One of the driver identified as Rolesha Spears was the driver of the other vehicle and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. One passenger of this vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
All three occupants in the vehicle that was hit were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities haven’t been released as of yet.
