Two killed after car crash in Chesterfield County

Two people were killed and two others were injured after a car crash in Chesterfield County, South Carolina on Wednesday night.

The crash took place just before 6 p.m. on Middendorf Road, up the road from the Hartsville Regional Airport.

Officials say the driver of an SUV crossed the center line and struck a car before overturning.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Injured passengers were flown to the hospital.

The identities of the victims were not released yet.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
