Nine killed after car crash on N1 Highway in Limpopo

Nine people were killed after the driver of a Toyota Venture lost control of the vehicle and collided head-on with a truck that was traveling in the opposite direction on N1 highway in Limpopo, South Africa.

All the deceased were traveling in the Venture, including four children aged between two and 12 years old.

A tire burst could be the cause of the accident.

The officials have called on all motorists to ensure the roadworthiness of their vehicles before taking long trips and to always stay within the speed limit.

The road is open for traffic.
