At the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Spyker is showing a convertible version of recently introduced all-new second-generation sports car, the Spyker C8 Aileron.
Just like the coupe it continues with the same aircraft-inspired theme.
The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder has a hydraulically powered, semiautomatic soft-top that opens or closes in 20 seconds.
The all aluminum space-frame chassis was redesigned from scratch with the objective to increase torsional rigidity and to incorporate an all-new suspension system designed and supplied by Lotus.
Power comes from an Audi sourced 400+ horsepower 4.2-liter V8 that is mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. 0-100 km/h comes in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 300 km/h.
