Automobile Giants BMW are all set to launch their largest SUV, the BMW X7 in India. The X7 was launched all over the world in the earlier half of this year and is finally launching on the 25th of July in the Indian market. The car is already the best BMW SUV model taking over the X5 because it deserves so. The X7 is quite simply the flag-bearer of BMW in the SUV market and is indeed the largest that the company has ever produced.
The car will surely not be affordable but when it is compared to cars at the same level, the prices will definitely be competitive. It will range between 90lakhs to 1.25 crore ( ex-showroom) and will be a direct competitor to the likes of the Mercedes Benz GLS second generation, the Audi Q7, Range Rover, Lexus LX, etc.
The Kidney grille on the car is one of its best features. It has given the car the signature BMW feel but larger whuix is flanked by LED units. The platform which the car uses is similar to that of the X5 but is more stretched. The car is more the 5 metres long and weighs around 2.3 tonnes.
Internationally the car comes both in powerful petrol and diesel engine versions. The X7 SUV spotted is a petrol version with a 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine which can pull out 350 PS. One other version which is on offer is a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 which can pull out 450 PS. The 3.0 litre in-line-six-cylinder diesel variant will surely be the most popular variant in the Indian market. It can churn out 265 PS and 620 Nm of torque. All the variants have eight speed automatic gearbox.
BMW SUV’s have always attracted Indian buyers and the company is counting on their track record for sure. India is finally getting the taste of the peak luxury BMW has to provide. It surely might be costly but it is worth it. Let’s see how the Indian market responds to this launch
