Two cars were wrecked in a crash in Charlotte, United States on Saturday night.
At around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Vermont State Police attended a report of a two-car crash on Route 7 by Lower Old Town Trail.
Morgan Brown, 31, from Winooski, left the lane of travel to pass a tractor-trailer and slammed into a vehicle in the other lane head-on.
No one was injured, and the area that was temporarily closed has reopened.
Brown was issued a citation for gross negligent operation and is set to appear in court in February.
There were about 33,358 car accidents in Charlotte during 2017, according to the Highway Safety Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Of these accidents, 22,471 accidents caused only property damage; 10,797 resulted in non-fatal injuries; and 90 were fatal.
