Two killed after car crash in Kay County, Oklahoma

Two people were killed after a car crashed into a barrier wall in Kay County, Oklahoma.

The crash took place when a 22-year-old identified as Xavier Mitchell was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra north on I-35, around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday when he veered to the right and struck into a barrier wall before continuing to travel and struck three other vehicles.

Mitchell and his passenger identified as a 21-year-old named Kyra Ray were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both were from Salina.

Tonkawa Fire Department helped in assisting with the crash.

The drivers of other involved vehicles were not injured. 

The crash is currently being investigated for further details.
