Toyota Motor on Tuesday reported a 10.4% increase in U.S. auto sales for 2021.

The result shows that the automaker overcame supply chain snarls to meet demand from customers.

The automaker said its sales came in at 2.3 million vehicles for the year, an increase from 2.1 million vehicles a year earlier.

The automaker reported a 30.2% decline in U.S. vehicle sales for December.
