Reborn Saleen Automotive has announced its plans in style to unveil a new model at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The public launch will happen on 17 August 2013 Saturday at 12 PM PST as per the announcement and there are chances that the model that will be unveiled will be the already confirmed super car. It is rumored to be a successor to the S7 Twin Turbo and could be an evolution of the S5S Raptor Concept which was envisioned as a replacement for the S7.
The concept came with a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine capable of generating an output of 650 hp (485 kW) and 630 lb-ft (853 Nm) of torque. The S5S could never make it to the production phase because Saleen had some problems after Steve Saleen decided to leave the company in order to establish a new company. But the good news is that he has returned and is ready to put Saleen back on the super car map.
