Following a recent leak, new details are now starting to emerge about the 2014 BMW M3 and M4 Coupe.
According to Autobild, both models will come with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that would generate an output of 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. This should enable the 1497 kg (3300 lb) M4 Coupe to achieve the sprint of 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and will be able to hit a limited top speed of 250 kmph (155 mph) or 280 kmph (174 mph) with the M Driver’s Package.
Talking about the fuel efficiency, the owners can expect the car to return 8.3 L/100 km (28.3 mpg US / 34 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 194 g/km. What is interesting is that the M3 sedan is quoted as having the same performance figures despite the fact that it has a weight of 1520 kg (3351 lbs).
Well if everything works out as planned, the M3 will come with a price tag of just over 70,000 while the M4 Coupe is expected to be priced at 72,200.
