Three died following a two-car crash in County Meath, Ireland.
The crash took place at the N52 in Kells at around 4.25 pm on Friday.
The driver of one of the cars, a woman in her 20s, and a passenger, a man also aged in his 20s, were died in the crash. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man died succumbed to his injuries when he was being admitted to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
Three children who were traveling in the second car were injured and they were admitted to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
The boy is said to be in a serious condition, while the girls’ injuries are not going through life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed after the crash but was later reopened.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Minister for European Affairs wrote on Twitter: “My deepest sympathies to the families of the bereaved and prayerful thoughts with the injured.”
