A man and a woman died in the car crash after their vehicle veered off of Interstate 95 and crashed early Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The man was driving the car north on I-95 approaching Davie Boulevard at about 12:52 a.m. when he lost control of the car, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
The vehicle veered right onto the grass shoulder and struck a light pole before hitting a concrete support pillar of the Davie Boulevard overpass.
The driver, from Pompano Beach, was killed. His age hasn’t been revealed yet.
Another fatality included a 19-year-old woman from Orlando who had been in the driver’s side back seat.
Another passenger, a 24-year-old man from Pompano Beach, was admitted to Broward Health Medical Center. His condition was stable.
Identities of the victims’ names were not released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. It is yet to be known what caused the crash.
