Chinese electric automaker NIO Inc made its first shipment of battery-swap stations and superchargers for Norway on Wednesday.

It is expected to arrive there in early August, according to the automaker.

Consumers will get the first batch of superchargers and home charging piles in Norway by September this year. Meanwhile, the automaker’s first four battery-swap stations in the country are set to go into operation before the end of this year.

More battery-swap stations will be installed in five Norwegian cities by next year.

NIO announced its market entry into the country on May 6, marking its first step to develop outside China.

The automaker has obtained an EU certification from TÜV Rheinland, a leading testing and certification service provider based in Germany. This will permit its battery-swap stations, supercharging piles, and home charging piles to be introduced in the EU market.
