General Motors brand Buick’s future North American lineup will be all-electric by 2030, the automaker said on Wednesday.
That target will make Buick, along with Cadillac, in pursuing the corporate goal of eliminating internal combustion engines by 2035.
Buick said it prepares to introduce its first EV in 2024.
The largest market for Buick is China, accounting for about five times its U.S. sales. Almost all of those vehicles in both markets still have gasoline-fueled engines.
Buick said its Chinese lineup won’t be wholly electrified until after 2030.
