by Alex

Autonomous TTS is Audi’s driverless experimental model that they are coming up with and is now going in to the high speed test runs stage to be conducted at Pikes Peak in Colorado this fall. Pictures that are here depict this model which we see in its Ingolstadt’s motorsports color which is its traditional color.

The rally held at Pikes Peak has had previous occasions where cars made by Audi had created motorsport history. The Autonomous TTS Pikes Peak by them with its changed appearance is also being prepared for creating history of new sorts. This is what Audi’s German manufacturers have stated.

Volkswagen Group automotive Innovation Laboratory located in Palo Alto California , Stanford University and sun Microsystems in a joint venture have built the base model on which the Autonomous TTS Pikes Peak is being produced. The engine of the car would be the same 2.0 liter turbocharged four pot.

The Steering, throttle, brakes, gearbox and parking brake is all controlled by a fly by wire technology. Even the GPS which helps to communicate with the software that helps navigate the vehicle is also built on this same technology. This eliminates the requirement of a driver inside the car.

Exploring the latest and best technologies that are available today in driver assistance processes is being studied by the makers to be incorporated into the car.
