Today, Bugatti officially released the new Veyron 16.4 Super Sport version, the latest model to join the Veyron lineup. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 SuperSport comes with an astonishing 1200 hp (882 kW) and a limited speed of 415 km/h (in order to protect the tyres).
There are some new addition in comparison with the current Veyron, such as the 7 speeds twin clutch gearbox, 4 turbochargers and improved intercoolers that will boost engine’s power and keep you safe at incredible speeds. The car’s body was also slightly modified in order to be lighter, Bugatti made a new fibre structure of the all-carbon monocoque.
As usual, the new model is limited-edition, only 30 units will be made. The car will make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours in August.
There’s even more, the first 5 units will be known as the World Record Edition because the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new record for production cars by having an average speed of 431 km/h.
This was unexpected even for Bugatti’s team: “We took it that we would reach an average value of 425 km/h, but the conditions today were perfect and allowed even more.” said ” Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, Bugatti’s chief engineer.
