New Mercedes S63 AMG most fuel efficient ever

by Alex Patrick

These are the times of environmentalism and the latest trend is to go for environment friendly matters in all aspects. Aston Martin, the makers of high performance vehicles have also been taken up by this wave and gone into making small city cars. That one has been packed with a load of power into it and yet the engineers have managed to keep a fuel economy factor that borders at the decent.

Mercedes-Benz has also followed the same track. Their engineers have modified the S63 , fitting it with a V8 direct injection 5.5 liter engine that delivers 571 hp and 663 pound-feet of torque. Though not very environment friendly, the engine helps take the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds flat.

The original 2011 S63 had an automatic transmission system installed; the modified one now has a multi-clutch box. The fuel economy of the car is expected to be 22.4 miles per gallon which is better than the previous S63 which read as 16.2 miles per gallon. This could be taken as the super sedan with better mileage than the SUVs.
