2013 BMW M5 – Pictures and Specifications

The 2012 BMW M5 was one of the best one in its class: sedan-like luxury with sport-like performance, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that BMW decided to release their newer M5 at the Denver Motor Show.

The 2013 M5 has a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged and intercooled V-8 engine, capable of delivering 560 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 502 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm. The M5 gets to 60 in 3.7 seconds (as fast as the 2012 Ferrari FF). Also, once the electronic speed limiter is disabled, the car can hit a top speed of 190 mph. The fuel economy is 20 mpg combined.

The standard transmission of the 2013 M5 is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic one, with a manual shifting mode, but a six-speed manual will be available as a no-cost option.

This model features a lot of driver assistive technologies: M Dynamic Mode (automatic traction and stability control), sport throttle (in three modes: efficient, sport and sport plus), Dynamic Damper Control, M Servotronic, M DCT Drivelogic, Park-Distance Control and Surround View Cameras.

This is a BMW in the true sense of the word – it’s fast, it’s powerful, it’s roaring with masculinity and it’s luxurious. It’s got everything anyone could want from a car, and the price isn’t too high either – the base cost price starts at $92,000.
