Recently Gazoo racing released the details of the latest creation, the “GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum,” much ahead of its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The car is based on the previously announced GRMN Sports FR Concept, whereas the platinum features revised styling features, which actually differentiates it from the Toyota 86, though the teaser pictures don’t divulge much info, but the company says that the car will have ventilated hood, new fenders and LED-infused headlights. Among the pictures, we also see unique alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and revised taillights. The sources close to us say that, the cabin will come with a roll cage, additional instrumentation, including a boost gauge, water temperature gauge, oil temperature gauge – and white leather seats with four-point harnesses. Some other features include a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and a dual exhaust.
Under the hood, will be the twin-charged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that would deliver up to 330 HP (242 kW) and 431 Nm (318 lb-ft) of torque, and the whole unit will be conjugated to a six-speed manual transmission which will send power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential.
