Mugen was involved in the tuning of the Honda Civic, but this time, the firm is doing slightly different by introducing a CR-V concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
Looking fairly traditional, the crossover is equipped with a new front fascia that incorporates a revised grille, LED fog lights and aluminum accents. On the backside, the changes are less noticeable but include a new bumper and a roof-mounted spoiler. On the contrary, the concept has extended fender flares and 20-inch aluminum wheels.
Interior changes are somewhat restricted, but include leather seats and carbon fiber trim.
The model has been equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and a dual exhaust system.
Performance specifications, features and other minute details are yet to be confirmed, and is expected to be made public very soon.
Mugen is renowned around the world for its tuning antics and by getting involved in the Honda CR-V concept it has made its commitment more stronger than ever before.
Stay tuned for loads of information to be revealed soon and in the meantime savor the pictures for a change.
