Porsche has formally unveiled the 911 GT3.
The GT3 is closely similar to the standard 911 but is distinguished by an aggressive front fascia with spoilers and optional LED headlights. At the back side there’s widened rear fenders, a fixed rear wing and extended side skirts. Lastly the car has been equipped with a center-mounted dual exhaust system, a new rear bumper and 20-inch forged alloy wheels with central locking hubs.
The interior has remained the same but it adopts leather and Alcantara seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and red contrast stitching.
Power gets boost from a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that carries variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods, direct injection and forged pistons. It allows the engine to emit 475 HP (349 kW) and 324 lb-ft (438 Nm) of torque. The engine comes with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which gives power to the back wheels via a locking differential. Speed from 0-100 km/h takes 3.5 seconds, before hitting a high speed of 315 km/h (195 mph).
The Porsche 911 GT3 will be put on block in Germany this year and price starts at €137,303 including VAT. Have a look at picture gallery, and stay in touch with Speedlux for more updates.
