Alpina BMW XD3 Bi-Turbo Gets 350 Horsepower

by SpeedLux

Recently Alpina released diesel based BMW XD3 which is a much better vehicle than the original X3. The car was launched in the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show 2013.

Talking about styling changes, X3 gets a typical Alpina body kit which is subtle, distinguished and effective in improving the aesthetics. The changes include spoilers with air intakes, side skirts, rear valance with new tailpipes and brand new Alpina wheels.

The interiors have also been modified with changes such as leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, ALPINA LAVALINA sport steering wheel with Blue or Green stitching, ALPINA instrument cluster, floor mats, etc. to name a few.

The tuner has fitted 3.0 liter straight six-cylinder diesel dual turbo engine which has output generation capacity of 350 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate to 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds and has a top speed of 235 kmph. The engine is connected to ZF SWITCH-TRONIC 8-Speed Sport-Automatic transmission. The car has a decent mileage of 41 mpg.
