Updated Volvo C30 Electric charges in just 1.5 hours

Volvo has recently made an announcement of its plans to lease a restructured fleet of C30 Electrics to European consumers in the coming summer.

The updated hatchback would be outfitted with a new Siemens electric motor that will be able to produce 120 HP (89 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. It will enable the model to accelerate from 0–62 mph (0-100 kmph) in 10.7 seconds and will be able to hit a top speed of 77 mph (125 kmph).

The C30 Electric model will also be equipped with an on-board rapid charger that operates on a three-phase supply. The advantage of this three-phase outlet is that it will reduce the charging time from normal 8-10 hours to just 1.5 hours. However in case of emergency, you can charge it for just 10 minutes and it will be sufficient to run for as long as 20 kms (12 miles). Overall the car can cover a distance of approximately 120–150 km (74-93 miles) on a single charge.

This is a good option in electric vehicles market as everybody would want their vehicle to get charged at the earliest and run the maximum and C30 Electric will surely not disappoint.
