After some rumors previously, some new details are emerging about the Mercedes SLC Black Series.
The model is designed to replace the SLS AMG model and is envisioned as an affordable sports car that will compete with the Porsche 911. It will reportedly ride on an aluminum space frame and will be available exclusively as a coupe only.
Details about engine and its options are not confirmed yet but a report from Autobild stated that we can expect three different engine options. The entry-level model will reportedly have a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that gives an output of 485 HP (357 kW), the S variant will have an output of 550 HP (404 kW) and the range-topping Black Series model could generate 585 HP (430 kW).
If the reports are to be believed, the SLC may be launched somewhere in 2016 and will come with a base price of approximately €109,000 ($141,000 / £93,375).
