The first pictures of the 2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe have been leaked on the internet ahead of an official announcement that is expected to occur soon.
Previewed by the 4-Series Coupe concept, the production model eschews the radical styling elements and has a design that closely mimics its 3-Series counterparts. Notable styling features include a new front bumper, ventilated front fenders and wraparound taillights. A variety of styling packages will also be available including an M Sport variant that is distinguished by features such as an aggressive front fascia, revised side skirts, special alloy wheels and bright exhaust finishers.
Limited changes have been in the interior including additional metallic trim on the doors. The car cabin also has premium leather upholstery, luxurious wood trim and a high-tech infotainment system.
At launch, three different engine options will be available including a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with output of 242 hp (180 kW), a 3.0-liter inline-six with 302 hp (225 kW) and a four-cylinder turbodiesel with output of 181 hp (135 kW).
A few months later, the lineup will be expanded to include a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with output of 181 hp (135 kW) and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel with outputs of 254 bhp (189 kW) and 309 bhp (230 kW).
The BMW 4-Series Coupe will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and sales are slated to begin later this year.
