2014 Porsche 911 GT2 spied 1st time

by SpeedLux

The 2014 Porsche 911 GT2 has been spied for the first time undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

The high-performance coupe was virtually undisguised and the designing clearly echoed its GT3 counterpart. The model can be distinguished by features such as extended wheel arches, wider rear fenders with large air intakes, aggressive bumpers, a prominent rear wing and a center-mounted dual exhaust system.

The model will come fitted with a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that would generate 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The model would be able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in approximately three seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 322 kmph (200 mph). The engine is expected to be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which sends power to the rear wheels.

The Porsche 911 GT2 is expected to be launched early next year, possibly at the Geneva Motor Show.
