Datsun has recently revealed the GO+ which is essentially an MPV version of the budget GO hatchback.
In terms of dimensions, the Datsun GO+ is a 5+2 MPV measuring 3995mm long, 1635mm wide and 1485mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2450mm and from the front it looks pretty similar to its hatchback sibling. Although it shares the same wheelbase as the hatchback, the overall length of this MPV has increased by 210mm to provide more room at the back which means that now it can accommodate two additional passengers.
Under the hood, motivation will be derived from the same modest 1.2-liter gasoline engine connected to a five-speed manual transmission and sending power to the front axle. In the interior, it seems that there is no AM/FM radio as this was replaced by the Datsun Mobile Docking Station providing smartphone integration.
Both Datsun GO and GO+ models will be made at the plant in Purwakarta, Indonesia and are scheduled to go on sale sometime next year in 2014. It is expected that pricing for both models will be under 100M Indonesian rupiah. However we will have to wait more for official confirmation and further details about the models from the company.
