Mitsubishi teases three concepts for Tokyo Motor Show

by SpeedLux

Mitsubishi has recently released teaser images of the three new concepts that would be fully revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show to be held next month. These three models will serve as a preview for the company’s upcoming new design approach and the upcoming new technologies as part of the @earth philosophy.

Firstly, the GC-PHEV (Grand Cruiser) concept represents Mitsubishi’s vision of a future full-size SUV powered by a plug-in hybrid electric system. It would come equipped with the firm’s Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) and boasts new preventive safety systems and support for mobile network connectivity.

Next is the XR-PHEV (Cross Runner) which is envisioned as a next-gen compact SUV and features a PHEV system and designed with coupe influences.

Last but not the least, there is Concept AR (Active Runabout) which will be a compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and promises to provide the mobility and practicality of an SUV but with the interior cabin room you would normally find in a people-carrier. The motivation would be provided by a small turbocharged direct-injection engine and in the interiors, the cabin will get a “cocoon-like” configuration which according to Mitsubishi will deliver superior comfort for all people inside.
