Bugatti sells 400th Veyron, 50 units to go

by SpeedLux

Bugatti has recently announced that they are selling its 400th Veyron this week, which means now only 50 cars are left to be sold for the prospect buyers.

The Veyron debuted in the year 2005 and since then the company has managed to sell all 300 coupes and 100 of a total of 150 roadsters. This means that all the remaining 50 cars are going to be roadsters, which explains why the most recent “Legend” lineup of special editions is based on the Grand Sport Vitesse version.

The 400th car sold was the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition (that has been limited to just three units) bought by a customer in the Middle East who agreed to pay a whopping 2.13M EUR. It comes with a two-tone exterior and interior and comes equipped with the familiar W16 quad-turbo generating a mind boggling 1,200 HP (882 kW) and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) of torque. It will be able to accelerate to 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in just 2.6 seconds and will be able to hit a top speed of 253 mph (408 kmph).
