2015 Ford Mustang preorders to start in May, production in August – report

by SpeedLux

According to a latest report, the 2015 model year Ford Mustang will enter the production phase in August 2014.

Mustang6G managed to obtain the information about Mustang production via a Ford fleet distribution news bulletin which stated that the all-new model will be available on order starting May 13 while production scheduling will commence a month after on June 12. Eight days later the outgoing model will be phased out as on June 20 the Blue Oval company will stop making the fifth-gen Mustang.

Finally the production of the all-new 2015MY Ford Mustang is scheduled to start on August 11 and deliveries are expected to start towards the end of the year. Available as a coupe and convertible, the re-imagined pony car will be sold at first with a choice of three engines: V6 3.7-liter engine with an output of 300 hp, 4-cylinder 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine producing 305 hp and a larger V8 5.0-liter mill producing 420 hp (313 kW) in the GT variant.

It is certainly a great news as the wait for the next-gen Mustang finally is about to get over and we would get to see the new model this year itself.
