Jaguar XS to be unveiled this summer, on sale next year – report

by SpeedLux

A latest report indicates that Jaguar plans on unveiling its entry-level sedan this summer, but the model won’t go on sale until next year.

The highly anticipated spiritual successor of the X-Type has been caught on lens on quite a number of occasions and it seems Jaguar is about to remove the camo as according to Just-Auto the baby Jag sedan will be officially revealed this summer. Set most likely to receive the XS moniker, the entry-level Jaguar is programmed to go on sale in the first half of 2015 and will ride on the newly developed iQ[Al] platform.

Customers will have an option of selecting from an extensive range of engines, including a high-end motor which will enable the Jaguar XS (name yet to be confirmed) to do 186 mph (300 kmph). On the other end of the specter, there will allegedly be an economical version which will come with CO2 emissions of less than 100 g/km.

The same report also indicates that Jaguar hasn’t decided yet whether the C-X17 concept will receive a production variant which means we will have to wait for some more time for final confirmation regarding the same to be received from the company.
