Mercedes-Benz relies on cats to prove the aerodynamic efficiency of the CLA [video]

by SpeedLux

Mercedes-Benz has recently released a new promotional video for the CLA four-door coupe in which they demonstrate the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency by using cats.

It appears that the marketing department at Mercedes-Benz has a soft corner for animals lately as after demonstrating the Magic Body Control system in the S-Class by using a chicken last time, now they rely on cats to show how aero efficient is their latest model CLA. The new ad is simply called “Cat” and reminds us that we are dealing with the world’s most aerodynamic efficient car as the baby Mercedes sedan has a Cd value of 0.22.

Not only does an aero efficient car manages to improve the fuel efficiency, but at the same time it also lowers noise and vibration levels which means you get a more comfortable ride in a quieter cabin and you take fewer trips to the gas station. It should be mentioned the regular CLA has a drag coefficient of 0.23 and only the BlueEFFICIENCY variant is rated at 0.22.

Many love cats but how many will love this CLA, only time will tell.
