Behold the 2015 DS5 Facelift!

by SpeedLux

Just a couple of weeks prior to the opening of the Geneva Motor Show event for this year, the French automaker, Citroen (which has now become PSA, a standalone brand), has officially taken the wraps off its DS5 vehicle model, this time a facelifted version. It is believed that the car will actually come to the stage of the aforementioned auto expo and that it will come with what the French company calls the Ink Blue paint, which is a new paint job.

The premium hatchback facelift from France can be seen on the images coming with a sculpted front grille. This grille is well equipped with DS monogram at the middle. In addition to that redesigned front grille, the car is also going to feature xenon LED headlamps that are well equipped with sequential turn indicators that actually originate from the DS3 Cabrio and facelift. At the sides of the car, a slender chrome sabre can be seen linking the headlamps to the front windshield of the vehicle. Then, at the rear fascia, the car has been treated with redesigned taillights in addition to dual exhaust pipes with chrome accent.

Stepping into the cabin of the vehicle, buyers of the vehicle will be greeted with a colorful, new touchdrive interface. Thanks to this interface, at least 12 conventional buttons are no longer needed. The car also supports the Mirror Screen feature, enabling owners of the vehicle to copy the contents of their smartphone to the onboard vehicle infotainment system. Other amenities notable inside the vehicle include dual zone air conditioning system, premium Denon audio system, electrochrome interior mirror, ambient lighting, start/stop engine button, keyless entry, side mirrors with heaters and front seats with massager and memory function.

For the performance, the car comes with a number of engine options. To begin with, customers can choose a THP 165 engine. Mated to a new 6-speed automatic transmission, this engine delivers 165 hp of power and 240 Nm of torque. Alternatively, customers can also choose a BlueHDi 120 engine, which is capable of delivering 120 hp and 300 Nm of power and torque. Since Citroen has become PSA, there is now no more double chevron emblem to be seen.
