Volvo puts up the picture of S60 cross country, to celebrate the starting of the sales

After the official unveiling of Volvo‘s enigmatic S60 Cross Country at the Detroit Auto Show this January, the automaker has returned with its classy next-gen automobile in an official photo gallery. The sedan is 65 mm higher above the ground than its previous S60 models and is equipped with an all-wheel drive system from the V60 Cross Country however it is rumored that Europe and selected markets will also get an option of front-wheel variants. Volvo is publicising that by 2020, the rate of accidents will significantly drop due to their new road guiding technology introduced in the S60 Cross Country. Volvo will offer standard 18-inch and optional 19-inch wheels accompanied by high profile tyres that are said to improve comfort as well as all-road aesthetics such as reduced road noise and increased wheel protection.

Customers would be free to choose from five different exterior colors, Onyx Black, Osmium Gray, Crystal White, Bright Silver and Rich Java. The Volvo S60 Cross Country is powered by a 2.0 liter T5 All-Wheel Drive turbo petrol powertain which is capable of delivering 254 horsepower. The Diesel variant includes an All Wheel Drive D4 based 2.4 liter five cylinder diesel engine and a front wheel drive 187 horsepower 2.0 liter diesel D4 with a manual transmission which averages at around 4.2 liter per 100 km corresponding to CO2 emissions of 111 gallons per kilometer. The S60 Cross Country will launch with Volvo’s 250hp 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five and standard all-wheel drive in the United States. Volvo is asking for a price of $43,500 in the U.S and €43,840 in Germany. The price tag on this car is seems quite reasonable given the safety features the car offers.
