Lamborghini’s PoloStorico has provided an extensive restoration of its first-ever Miura SV, a pre-production automobile that first appeared at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show.
Lamborghini is getting in at the yearly Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, trotting out a totally revived 1971 Miura SV. This is not just any Miura, though. It’s been the subject of a total restoration courtesy of Sant’Agata’s young remediation arm, PoloStorico.
Using chassis number 4846, this Miura SV was introduced on the Bertone stand during the 1971 Geneva Auto Show– the firm’s new Countach was on the main Lamborghini stage. As per Lamborghini, this car is “truly a one-off,” featuring parts from the Miura S together with pioneering features that would be found on later SVs.
This Miura SV marks the first finished project for the PoloStorico team. Based on some of the images we have actually seen, it’s the start of something huge for Lamborghini’s vintage models.
