Chris Cuomo was in ‘full-blown drag race’ prior car crash

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo crashed his cherished 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible in Southampton just recently when he was drag racing the racer. However a pal of the anchor firmly insisted Cuomo never ever really raced the car and was just goofing around for images before he awkwardly split his radiator by striking a parked German import.

Cuomo’s spouse, Cristina, hosted a trendy party for her Beach magazine at Jue Lan Club over Memorial Day weekend, and sources told Page Six the night ended with Chris “drag racing.”

“It was a full-blown drag race. Everybody heard it,” stated a source. “He lost control and crashed into a parked Mercedes. He was fortunate because it was his pal’s automobile.”

However another source at the party explained a more tame scene, saying that when Cuomo left the bash, “a relative of Chris’ was outside in a 1967 Pontiac LeMans. Chris is an automobile person, so he got his car and pulled up along with. A lady stood between them, claiming it was beginning line, and people were taking a lot of images.”

However, the second source stated the automobiles “never moved,” but a photo op ended up being a fender-bender when awkward Cuomo turns his car around to leave and he bumps into another among his relative’s cars. It was a Mercedes SUV.

The source said that “Chris broke his radiator, and it was leaking fluid, so he drove home in case the engine quit working. He informed his partner to remain. He knew whose car it was– it had a dent.”

An official report was filed for insurance coverage purposes, the source said.

However others stated Cuomo’s called a wardrobe street demon, he posted a video last summer in the exact same automobile peeling out on a Hamptons street, and teasing his CNN colleague Don Lemon. “For you, Don,” he states prior to burning rubber.
