One man’s got fined for heating up his car, and his parking ticket has gone viral, with thousands views after he was ticketed for heating up the car in his own driveway.

Taylor Trupiano told he’s still shaking his head because of a parking ticket he got on his own home.

“I thought it was some type of joke initially, then I was thrown back by it,” he said. “I was really surprised.”

The ticket meant for leaving the keys in the ignition with the motor running and nobody around. Trupiano stated he was just doing something many people in Michigan do throughout the winter.

“I remained in and out in probably about 7-8 minutes,” he included. “So because quantity of time he added here, gave me a ticket and by the time I went out he was no place to be seen.”

Irritated with the ticket, he published a photo on Facebook where he acquired countless comments and shares.

The Roseville Police Department ticket features a $128 fine. There is no state law against leaving your vehicle turned on and unattended, but dozens of cities throughout Michigan have regional regulations.

“We have five to ten cars stolen this way every winter,” stated Roseville Police Chief James Berlin. “It’s dangerous, and naturally it drives everyone’s insurance rates up. It drives our criminal activity rates up.”

Much of the regulations will enable you to use a remote start since the car is locked.

Berlin informed media they will not ask forgiveness and in fact, he motivates his officers to implement this law.

“It’s common sense. We cannot warn everyone of the law there is. Common sense states you don’t leave your car running unattended,” Berlin stated.
