Volvo says sales increased 5.7 percent in February

Geely-owned Volvo Car Group stated on Thursday its sales increased 5.7 percent year-on year in February as development in Europe and Asia offset a double-digit drop in the United States.

Volvo Cars reports worldwide sales growth of 5.7 percent in February.

Company stated the total sales for the month totaled to 36,515 cars, compared to 34,552 cars in 2016.

Sales rose 5.1 percent in EMEA in February and 19.4 percent in Asia/Pacific. While U.S. sales dropped 11.6 percent in last month.

Last year, company lost its spot for being the best selling car in Sweden, the spot it held for over 5 decades.
