Lamborghini Murcielago successor coming

by Alex

A brand new version of the Murcielago is in the offing. What’s known is that come July and dealers as also the VIP customers of the new version to the Murcielago would be treated to an exclusive presentation on the car. That’s when the name as well as all its intricate specifications would be revealed with the public launch scheduled during the auto show at Paris in the fall this year.

Grapevine rumors though doing the rounds indicates nothing new. The same monocell carbon filler chassis, similar to the MP4-12C. Maybe a little difference is expected between the two. A V12 engine which produces 700 hp or more and a 0-100 km/hr pick up within 3.0 seconds is expected. The top speed though is 370 km/hr.

The car is expected to be shorter in length than the Murcielago as well the rest of the design would be way different, though keeping to the basic style of a Laborghini. It is understood that some design clues may have been picked up from the Reventon. Overall weight of the car has been reduced to 1500 kg by changing the door design away from the scissor concept. The present door design makes for them to open sideways and then move upwards. The new successor to the Lamborghini Murcielago also has wheels of 21 inch diameter and a carbon-ceramic brake system. Pricing of the car is expected to be maintained close to the LP640 price.
