The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said owners of about 10,000 new General Motors vans should park outside due to fire risks pending recall repairs.

General Motors on Wednesday recalled 10,154 2021 model year Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles with 6.6L gas engines following reports of four engine fires connected to a short circuit issue.

The automaker is not aware of any casualties related with the issue.

NHTSA said owners should park the vans away from homes, structures, and other flammable objects such as vegetation until the recalled automobiles have been repaired.
