The C-Class DR520 from Mercedes Benz was unveiled today. This is a limited edition of the car and is for selling exclusively by the Specialist Products division of the company at the Mercedes Benz World in Brooklands, Surrey.
Amongst all the Mercedes Benz C class cars, this is going to be the most powerful as claimed by the makers of the car. Based on the C63 AMG it carries a powerhouse that can boost power up to 520 hp and 650 Nm of torque. In comparison the standard vehicle of this genre can develop 460 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The car is expected to have a pickup time of 0 to 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds and its estate version would be capable of reaching the same speed in 4.2 seconds.
The car has electronically limited top speed control that had been limited to 187 mph. AMG performance pack plus is included in the features of the car and therefore has high performance braking system. The red calipers engine upgrade consists of forged pistons and the connoting rods are newly developed. It also has a revised crankshaft and includes an AMG fiber rear spoiler for the Saloon.
The exterior has a black or white matt wrap scheme with the alloy wheels given a titanium finish. The grille, wing and boot lid carry the DR 520 logo.
The interior has been done up with leather upholstery of the sports seats. There is the exclusive Alcatara also with option of red or white contrast. The steering wheel covered in Nappa leather as well as Alcatara has the AMG functions on it.
Limited to just 20 units the car would be available at a price tag of £62,430 OTR for the DR 520 Saloon version, while the Estate would go for £63,680 OTR. This is £9,995 more than the price of the standard C 63 AMG.
