Subaru will unveil its RWD Coupe Concept at the Geneva Motor Show

by Alex

Subaru is finally coming out with the Toyota FT-86 RWD Coupe model and this is after a real long time of wait. The product is a joint venture of two companies and would be on display at the Geneva Salon event that is scheduled in March. The car has been named the “Subaru Rear Wheel Drive Sports Car Technology Concept” and would be on display alongside the Impreza Concept as also the Trezio mini MPV. The Swiss motor show event is the next one where these cars would get their European appearance.

The car comes with a rear wheel drive setup even though there were rumors that Subaru may present an all-wheel drive version of the coupe project.

A boxer engine and in all probability the same four-cylinder unit lent to Toyota for the FT-86 would be found on the Subaru coupe. No additional information or photograph has yet been received from Subaru as of now on this car.

Last November at the LA show the company had shown the Impreza Concept and the Trezio had been up on display as a Toyota Verso-S mini MPV. This Verso-S would be available in the European market with a 1.3-liter gasoline and 1.4-liter turbo diesel engines.
