Hyundai and Bisimoto Engineering have announced their plans to come together and create a specially-modified Genesis Coupe for SEMA.
Described to be a street car with the “outrageous power of a no-holds-barred racer,” the one-off model will come with an Electric Blue exterior with other features such as ARK hood, a carbon fiber decklid spoiler and 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Toyo R888 R-Compound tires. The racing theme continues inside the cabin as well as the model will be outfitted with a roll cage, Buddy Club racing seats and a Racepack IQ3 digital dash.
The motivation would be provided by the 3.8-liter Lambda V6 engine that will be equipped with twin Turbonetics turbochargers, steel connecting rods, Arias forged pistons, upgraded fuel injectors and a Magnafuel 750 fuel pump. The engine will also come fitted with custom ignition coils, a Spearco intercooler and a Burns stainless exhaust system and with the help of these modifications, the engine will be able to generate a mammoth 1,000 bhp (745 kW).
Bisimoto Engineering owner Bisi Ezerioha was quoted saying, “The Genesis Coupe 3.8-liter Lambda engine is a thoroughly robust powerplant, and Bisimoto Engineering is excited to develop it to its full potential for the rigors of competitive motorsport.”
