2015 Audi R8 gets rendered

by SpeedLux

One of the transportation designers Sebastian Kunz has recently created some new renderings of the 2015 Audi R8.

The rendering clearly draws inspiration from the Nanuk concept, which was recently introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany this month. The designer has created a stylish coupe which has an evolutionary and edgy design.

Starting up front, the model features a prominent grille along with LED headlights and large air intakes. Moving further back, the sporty styling continues as the car has been designed with massive alloy wheels and angular side blades that recall the Nanuk. There have been reports that indicate that the 2015 Audi R8 is slated to have a bold front fascia with Matrix LED headlights. We can also expect shorter side blades and a Le Mans inspired double diffuser.

Details about engine options remain unconfirmed but we can expect that the car will come fitted with a 4.2-liter V8 engine that would produce around 450 hp (335 kW) and a 5.2-liter V10 mill that outputs around 570 hp (425 kW). Despite being more powerful, the 2015 R8 will be more fuel-efficient than its predecessor as it is expected to use features such as start/stop technology, a cylinder deactivation system and a number of carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced plastic components.
