Thirteen people were killed and ten others were injured after their van overturned and flipped into a ditch on a highway in Jalisco, Mexico on Saturday.
Twelve people were pronounced dead at the scene. Seven of them were trapped inside the car.
One person succumbed to injuries in hospital.
The accident took place near the city of Lagos de Moreno, on a highway that links the central states of Guanajuato and Jalisco, during a season where Catholic pilgrims often travel to a shrine in the nearby town of San Juan de los Lagos.
