2010 Audi R8 Purple Chess Board Edition from German tuner Dartz

by Alex

Tuning jobs that borders oddity are nothing new and there has been numerous instances of such wacky jobs done. Take Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 for instance turned around by SR Hamann Renaissance. However, sometimes even these can dwarf in the face of those who seem to have even more strange sense of color scheme for their cars. For them, color choices like matte black, matte white, dull gray, or even pink is far too normal or usual to be applied to their cars. So what about a purple chess board scheme.

Well this is exactly what a particular owner of an Audi A8 has aked the German tuner Dartz to apply on his car giving rise to speculations that he is either a great fan of the game of chess or grapes. Or maybe his sense of humor is severely lacking.

However, the customer is all too happy with the other standard fitment that the car comes with and has not opted for any change to be meted out to either the engine or the gearbox. Seems the standard 420 hp of power output is enough for his requirements. And its only the exterior of the car that was giving him sleepless night, which having been done up, he should rest easy.
