Being one of the most successful cars in the world, the Toyota Prius just had to get some updates at the 2012 Motor Show in Denver, and it did. The 2012 Prius C will be more fuel efficient, more environmentally friendly, more technologically advanced, for a bout the same price.
With the best fuel economy in its class (50 mpg combined), the Prius C competes against the Honda Insight, Honda Civic Hybrid and Honda CR-Z (find information about these vehicles as well on our website).
As for pricing, it is expected that the 2012 Prius C will have a price cost less than $20,000, which makes in an affordable small car, that is suitable for a small family or individuals living in an urban area and wanting to produce a smaller CO2 emission.
Although currently just a concept design, Toyota will probably release the Prius C for purchase at the beginning of 2012. The exterior design is likely to change a bit, but the over-all size and look will be preserved.
Toyota will also release other Prius vehicles, which means that by next year, there will be four options for the Prius, with the Prius C being the smallest of them all.
