2014 Cadillac ELR teased for a Detroit debut

by SpeedLux

Cadillac has released few teaser images of the 2014 ELR, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

What we see in the pictures are the 2014 ELR, and this model is essentially a production version of the Converj concept, which will be a luxurious coupe. There aren’t details about the specifications, but it is said that Cadillac previously announced the car will feature an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a four-cylinder engine-generator, so that means, the ELR will operate primarily on electricity but can utilize the four-cylinder engine to boost its range when the battery is low.

The ELR is scheduled to go into production late next year and pricing will be announced closer to launch, so stay tuned in.
