2014 Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing to be introduced next month

by SpeedLux

Citroen had introduced the DS3 Cabrio Racing concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year and now a recent report has come up that is indicating that the production model will be unveiled next month in January 2014.

According to one of the auto magazines, the production model will be revealed next month and will closely echo the concept and feature sporty styling and an optional Moondark matte exterior. Talking about the interiors, the cabin is expected to borrow cues from the concept which could include Nappa leather sport seats and numerous Alcantara accents.

Like the DS3 Racing, the DS3 Cabrio Racing will also come equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that generates an output of 200 HP (147 kW) and 275 Nm (203 lb-ft) of torque. This will enable the car to achieve the 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) sprint in 6.5 seconds.

Nothing officially confirmed yet but sources have revealed that the production will be limited to just 400 units. However we can expect more details to be out soon as the launch date of the model comes nearer.
