2014 Hyundai Tucson Walking Dead Edition announced

by SpeedLux

Hyundai has introduced the Tucson Walking Dead Edition at the recently concluded Los Angeles Auto Show.

Set to go on sale in 2014, the Walking Dead Edition comes with an Ash Black exterior paint with red accents and special graphics. Other highlights of the model include mudguards and four decals – Hilltop, Kingdom, Saviors and Survivors – that will enable buyers to display adherence to certain factions from the graphic novel.

Talking about the interiors, the changes are limited but come nicely equipped with features such as black leather seats, custom floor mats and a seven-inch touchscreen display with a special The Walking Dead splash screen. That’s not all, the buyers will also receive a “Zombie Survival Kit” that includes a survivalist backpack and a Walking Dead Tucson Quick Reference Guide.

Under the hood, the power would be provided by a 2.4-liter Theta II GDI engine that would generate an output of 182 hp (135 kW) and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque. It is further mated to a six-speed automatic transmission gearbox which can also be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.
